Only a few days left until The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs finally comes out! But we’re not there yet. So here is another blog about the upcoming Expansion Pack. Discover the new world of Brindleton Bay below.
Explore the New World of Brindleton Bay
Hey there, Simmers!
With The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs* releasing on November 10, not only does this pack introduce some new four-legged friends, but a whole new world for you to explore as well!
Introducing Brindleton Bay, a charming coastal town full of cool new outdoor activities for you and your pets. We can’t wait for you to get your paws on it, so let’s take a look at some of the fun and delightful neighborhoods you and your new pets can discover together.
First, you can start your day off in Sable Square, where you can take your canine companion on a nice walk through the center of town while chasing after flocks of birds, and make a quick stop by Pupperstone Park to test your dog’s agility with a new pet obstacle course.
Ah, but maybe you’re looking for something a bit more… feline? Look no further than Whiskerman’s Wharf – a cat’s dream neighborhood and home to the Bay’s resident cat lady, Catarina Lynx. Send your cat hunting in the bushes and they may bring back some feathers they “found” for you. Be careful though! Birds aren’t the only animals hiding in the bushes and your pets may find themselves in a losing battle against a squirrel or skunk!
Regardless of which destination you choose, follow up your relaxing morning by curbing your appetite for adventure at Cavalier Cove. A sprawling coastal neighborhood, Cavalier Cove is full of little nooks and crannies for you and your pet to explore. (Who knows what mysterious treasures your dog will uncover digging on the beach!)
Not in the exploring mood? Not to fret! Bring a pet toy from home and use the open space to play a game of fetch.
Finally, as the day comes to a close, head on over to Deadgrass Isle. Population: PETS! Not a single human lives on the island, making it the perfect place to befriend a stray cat or dog. Build a strong enough bond, and you can adopt them into your family! But before you head out, make sure to climb to the top of the lighthouse and watch that beautiful Brindleton Bay sunset.
Now, a bunch of you builders have been asking if there will be a good variety of lot sizes in The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs. Fear not! Brindleton Bay will have lots in a multitude of sizes, including 20×15, 20×20, 30×20, 30×30, 40×30, 40×40, 64×64, and four of those lots will be empty. So get ready to build!
And that’s a wrap on our quick tour of Brindleton Bay, a whole new world tailor-made for cats, dogs, and the Sims that own them. From feline antics at the Wharf, to canine adventures at the Cove, Brindleton Bay is full of new and exciting activities for you to enjoy when The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs launches on November 10th! We can’t wait to see what new architectural treasures you construct.

The release of The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack is almost around the corner! We still have a few days left until the game is out. Read a new blog below with 6 reasons to get excited about the Vampires Game Pack!
6 Things To Get Excited For In The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack
Can you believe there’s only 4 more days until The Sims 4 Vampires* Game Pack is out? Neither can we! We’ve talked a lot about what’s in the pack over the last couple of weeks but we wanted to have a quick re-cap of all the things we’ve seen you talking about most on social media, so here we go!
1 – Playing the Epic Organ
When you’re a Vampire living eternally, you need a lot of hobbies. Playing the Organ is a great way for your Sim to idle away their time before sleeping, as the sun comes up and the rest of the town rises.
2 – Creeping Around Forgotten Hollow
There’s a new World in the Vampires Game Pack, and that’s Forgotten Hollow. Night time lasts longer here, so your Vampires can thrive better with less risk of bursting in to flames, which is always good. There’s a really old feel to this World, with Gothic architecture and fog creeping around, not forgetting the statue of Vlad standing proud in the center.
3 – Gaining Ancient Vampire Powers
Powers, you guys. POWERS. Mutate into a bat, travel through the air as a wisp, become more alluring to other Sims, master mind control, and a whole bunch of others. We’re really excited to see what great stories you all come up with using these!
4 – New Grungy Style Decor
We added a few grungy decor options in The Sims 4 City Living, and with The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack we felt that this was a great opportunity to bring in even more. There’s new rips & tears for the walls that fit with the Gothic theme, and some cobwebs to really give the whole place a dusty decrepit feeling.
5 – Sleeping (And Woohoo’ing) In Coffins
We know how much you guys love your new woohoo locations, so when we created the coffin beds, we had to make sure we added the woohoo option as well. The animation for this is so fun, and we think your Vampire Sims will love it just as much as we do. Also, did we mention there’s bat form woohoo? Yup.
6 – Vampires, Duh
We couldn’t finish up this list without calling out the Vampires themselves! The customization options for the dark form, the fangs, withered glowing eyes, and so much more. We really really really can’t wait to see what kind of Vampire you create.

Learn All About Character Values in The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack
Hey Simmers! We don’t expect you to fully join the family without knowing more details about The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack, which is why we’re here today to discuss Character Values.
Young Sims growing up are still trying to figure out how to become productive adults and their Parents are there to help guide them down the right road by instilling strong Character Values. Or, if your Sims are more ambivalent in their parenting, their children’s weak Character Values will manifest into their (probably miserable) adulthood. What’s so great about this feature is that it represents how your Sims play, and there’s so much diversity in the outcomes that you can play The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack for generations.
We’re going to discuss how your Sims can guide (or ignore) their children in a future blog, but today, we want to discuss Character Values. Specifically, the outcome. There are five different Character Values, each with a positive and negative outcome. The five Character Values are Manners, Responsibility, Conflict Resolution, Empathy, and Emotional Control.
As soon as Sims age up from Babies to Toddlers, their Character Values appear in their Simology panel. When Sims age up from Teenagers to Young Adults, their Character Values disappear and the Sims are given permanent Traits that reflect their upbringing.
The Character Values are representations of your young Sims activities. As they perform activities that are positively associated with a Character Value, it’ll increase their positive access. If Sim parents encourage and praise these behaviors, that will also increase it. However, when Sims perform negative activities that are negatively associated with a Character Value, or a parent praises these activities, it has the opposite effect.
How about an example?
Let’s say a Sim mother wants her child to have good Manners. She might teach her child to Say Please and Thank you, or Set the Table. And she’ll likely discipline any bad manners her child exhibits. But perhaps, you’re more interested in a young, ill-mannered rogue? Your Sim’s child may start Swearing, or will wantonly burp and fart around the household. And if not curbed, these can have a permanent effect!
Let’s continue with this example. Let’s say this child becomes a teenager, then a Young Adult. Their Character Values are set! If the mother didn’t curb the negative behaviors, the child will gain the Bad Manners Trait. This will unlock new socials, like Point Out Flaws, for one. The Sim will have Whims to Swear, indicating their personal desires to act with bad manners. They’ll also change their autonomous behavior, such as preferring Rude interactions, or failing to clean the dishes.
But, perhaps the mother did invest her time into creating a well-mannered child? Then, they earn the Good Manners Trait. Sims with this Trait always clean up dishes, act politely when introducing themselves to others, and never act rudely on their own. They build Friendships more quickly and, if they have to fart, they only do it in certain circumstances…
Beyond this, all Character Values lead to new Chance Cards catered to Sims based on their Traits – which means you’ll be making tough choices for your Sims throughout their lives based on their upbringing. It’s exciting and full of humor, unexpected twists, and is the perfect opportunity or new stories.
Character Values are such a great Sims feature. They’re the perfect combination of serious and silly consequences based on your choices and the stories you tell. With five Character Values, and two Traits for each, there is so much variety in how your Sims grow up, which means you can play The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack for so many generations.
What stories will you tell? Which bad behaviors will your Sims scold? What behaviors will they praise?
These choices, and more, are yours to make when The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack ships worldwide on May 30, 2017 on Origin for PC and Mac.

More exciting news! And this time it’s really exciting! Electronic Arts just announced The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs as the next big expansion pack for The Sims 4.
This brand-new pack will be released on the 10th of November this year. Check out the announcement below with the first information, pictures, and a trailer.
The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Is Coming This November!
The announcement you’ve been waiting for is here! It’s finally here! You knew it was coming. We knew it was coming. And with every delighted fiber of my being, I can now officially tell you that we’re in the midst of finishing the development of The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs* right now, and it will be available to play on PC and Mac worldwide on November 10, 2017.
We’ve been working on this expansion pack for a very long time, and my handlers had to restrain me so I wouldn’t spill all the beans. But, I’m going to spill some beans…
Create A Pet has returned, and it’s more powerful than ever. Search for a massive amount of cat and dog breeds, or mix any two breeds with just a few clicks to create the perfect mutt. But what about painting?! Whether you’re adding a few spots, adding a spot to the nose, or using Stencils to paint more complicated patterns, customizing your pets has never been simpler! Oh, and we have costumes for cats and dogs. (Which yes, means your dog can go swimming while dressed as a shark.)
Once you enter live mode, you’ll see these are the most expressive, interesting, and distinct pets we’ve ever made. Cats will hide from dogs by standing on the fridge and peering down at the lowly humans. Dedicated owners can train their dog to perform a series of increasingly complicated tricks, or walk them around the all-new world of Brindleton Bay to chase birds and stretch their legs. Traits make every pet truly distinct, but only the best pet owners will recognize their pets’ fears, desires, and more.
Once you have your puppy trained and the cat feeder all programmed, have your Sims purchase the local Veterinarian practice to start work on Monday. That’s right! You can own a Vet Clinic, hire the perfect staff, diagnose illnesses, and perform surgeries to improve the wellness of the neighborhood’s pets (and earn a few Simoleons).
We’ve been so eager to share this expansion pack with you, and it’s almost here. Lean over, scratch your own pet behind the ears, and start imagining the stories you’re going to tell with your Sims and their new four-legged friends. The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs will be here in just a few short months and we look forward to sharing more information with you soon.
Until next time, happy Simming!
