It’s all about careers

Expansion pack Sims 4 Get to Work

With this first big expansion pack for The Sims 4, you’ll get four active careers: doctor, scientist, detective and business owner. Each career has its own unique playable career venue where you can work on making your ambitions reality. This expansion adds many new possibilities.

Being a doctor in The Sims 4 means that you spend your work days saving lives, treating patients, perform emergency surgeries and deliver babies. You will never be bored again. Check out a co-worker’s hotness. This does not have anything to do with medicines. Instead, it is a flirting technique. Try hotness on a cute co-worker to find out what will happen. The more time you put in serious affairs, such as curing patients, the better their skills become.

High-level doctors can run a quick test to find out the gender of a baby. When a pregnant Sim comes in for their delivery, your doctor can ease their curiosity before the big events happens. The more effort you put into the doctor career, the better your Sim’s abilities and skills become. It opens new opportunities for running different types of examinations and tests on patients.

To become more successful, it is necessary to run more tests, which increases chances for a successful diagnosis before treatment takes places. Challenge your doctor to see how many Sims can be cured in a day. Several new objects help your doctors in the hospital to diagnose and treat patients, such as Run Treadmill tests and X-Ray Scan. You might discover some unusual things. Be prepared for random events! Outbreaks can occur and pregnant Sims can show up at any time. Doctors can also visit Sims at home to treat them there. Being outside the hospital can be a refreshing experience from time to time.

There are a lot of cool things you can do as a scientist. Want to turn your Sim into a cackling mad scientist or a brilliant inventor? These theories might help you. Science has a solution for friends that always seem to be busy with work or school. Simply make copies of your best buds. Let’s hope that they turn out to be normal but evil things might happen. Watch out!

During the scientist career, your Sim can manipulate moods and emotions through serums. One serum can make your Sims happier, another can make your Sims mad. There is even a serum that transforms your Sims into ghosts. However, this might be temporary. If not, then the serum would pretty much be a poison.
With the SimRay tool your scientist Sim can make the nearest Sim do all sorts of things, such as swapping into their nightwear and sleeping on the floor. You can even make them clean up after you. With SimRay you can also transform objects and become rich. Turn items into another random item. Cheap objects can become extremely expensive and can be sold for major profit.

The Electroflux Wormhole Generator makes it possible to travel to Sixam, the alien home world. Here you can find aliens to become friends with. In Sixam you will find new alien flora. Bring back some samples to the normal world to impress. Besides becoming friends with aliens, Sims can also befriend the robotic Invention Constructor.

Get the most out of your crime-solving skills as a detective! Here is what you should do to work your way up to become the Chief of Police. Sweep a crime scene for clues is necessary to become successful. At the crime scene, you might find burnt or damaged objects, graffiti or stolen items. By clicking on the ground, you might find hidden clues. Having the ‘observant’ trait helps your Sim to unlock things faster. Satisfaction points help to automatically identify traits of Sims they meet. Maybe you find the perp just by having conversations?
As a detective you need to get some friendly encouragement from the Chief of Police. Just chat some time with your boss and try to figure out the truth. Once you found a suspected Sim, make sure to see what they’ve got hidden in their pockets. The One-Way mirror has a mirror on one side and a window on the other side, which provides unique and creative ways to take advantage. This object is a reward which needs to be unlocked.

Business owner
Now you can open your own shop in The Sims 4! As a business owner, you are able to hire employees, which opens many new possibilities for you as an owner of a business. You can decide how much your employees will earn and if you are sweet enough to them they might do a lot of work for your money. What about giving the best employee of the month a special uniform, or the worst performing employee an embarrassing clown or hotdog outfit?

Owning a retail business can be your main job. It is also possible to have the store as a supplement to your own main career. For example, when your Sim is a scientist he or she can run an elixir shop as a side money-making opportunity. The fun thing about this expansion pack is that you basically can sell everything in your retail store. What about creating a bakery or photo studio? Or a seafood market or wedding shop? Everything is possible! In order to make your shop successful, promotion needs to be done. Manage ads to maximize profit.
Sims in The Sims 4 can be very emotional and you can make advantage of this when owning a retail store. Sims that have a good mood are easier to convince to buy products.
